Remote Control: How it works
Short Solutions Remote Control (SSRC) is a tool that allows us to see and control your desktop. It's the fastest, and best way for us to troubleshoot and repair common computer problems and it is safe and secure. All you need is a relatively stable internet connection (broadband preferred). Here's how it works.
The Remote Control tool is broken into two parts. The first part is on your end. Click Here and save the file to your desktop or run remotely. Running that program opens a secure connection from your computer to our server. That is the main reason that Remote Control is secure. You are connecting to our server, not the other way around. In order to establish the connection, we also have to run a program from our server. Both programs must be running at the same time in order for a connection to be made.
Once the connection is active, you still have full control of your PC. You will see your mouse cursor move across the screen and see most everything we do to solve your problem. Also, your computer is still considered to be the "master" and any time your move your mouse, we will lose control.
